Korean drama (Hangul: 한국드라마; RR: hanguk drama) or K-drama refers to televised dramas in the Korean language, made in South Korea, mostly in a miniseries format, with distinctive features that set them apart from television series and soap operas made elsewhere.

These past few years, we cannot deny the fact that Korea is one of the most admired countries for producing/releasing such great content in the drama world. They made us feel a rollercoaster of emotions, from bawling our eyes out to laughing our a$$es off.
And they've introduced us to fictional characters that embodied ideal men for teenage girls.We've all loved them!!! So here's the list of my favorite series, plus KDrama Recommendations featuring the irresistible eye candies that starred in them.
1. The Lonely Shinning Goblin
A 939-year-old immortal goblin and protector of souls who is in search for his bride, the only one who can remove the sword he was killed with, piercing his chest. Once the sword is removed, he may finally move to the afterlife and rest in peace. Although initially skeptical that Eun-tak is the Goblin bride, he gradually begins to love her and accept her as his long-awaited bride.

Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) is a goblin who is also a protector of souls. He lives together with an amnesiac grim reaper (Lee Dong Wook) who is in charge of taking deceased souls. Together the two of them sees the dead off into the afterlife.
I ugly cried because of this drama. Definitely one of my favorites!
2. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
It’s about college athletes who fighting for their dreams and finding love. Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung) is a student in Hanwool College of Physical Education. She has shown strength like no other since she was a child as influenced by her former weight lifter father. She looks thoughtless at a first glance, but inside she’s as fragile as glass and has deep recognition.
Jung Joon Hyung (Nam Joo Hyuk) is Kim Bok Joo’s best friend. He is a born swimmer but ever since he was disqualified from his first international event, he suffers from ‘start trauma’. Along with Kim Bok Joo, he overcomes his troubles and finds his dream and love.

I love this drama so much! I think that the casting of characters were all fitted perfectly for their roles. Joon Hyung and Bok Joo is obviously the real deal otp!
3. Legend of the Blue SEa
Legend of the Blue Sea is about a mermaid (Jun Ji Hyun) who goes to Seoul and tries to adjust to life on land. She meets a swindler (Lee Min Ho), and the two begin a romantic relationship.

She was caught by Heo Joon Jae (Lee Min Ho), a charming but cold con artist who is the doppelgänger for Kim Moon, the son of a nobleman from the Joseon Dynasty.
They are both so adorable and they made my heart flutter so much!
4. Doctor Stanger
The series will revolve around Park Hoon, a South Korean who was captured with his father and grows up in North Korea. He is trained to become a genius doctor, and though Park Hoon lands a job at the best South Korean hospital after defecting, he is treated as a foreigner. To find his lost North Korean first love, Song Jae Hee, he does anything to make money.

Lee Jong-suk as Park Hoon- A North Korean refugee who defects to South Korea and becomes a genius doctor.
Park Hae-jin as Han Jae-joon / Lee Sung-hoon- A genius doctor from Myungwoo University Hospital and Park Hoon's rival.
These men amazed me with their skills and personalities. They were both so handsome and smart... plus they looked so awesome in the operating room!!!
5. The DEScendant of The Sun
A love story between Captain Yoo Shi Jin, Korean Special Forces, and Doctor Kang Mo Yeon, surgeon at Haesung Hospital. Together they face danger in a war-torn country.

Genre: Romance, melodrama
The team leader of Alpha Team, an elite special forces unit in South Korea. He is a soldier from a family with a military background, and highly respects his father, who is honorably discharged as a Sergeant Major. Possessing outstanding academic and physical abilities, he graduated from the Korea Military Academy and is currently a Captain in the army. Shi-jin is a loyal soldier who goes all out to defend his country's honor but in life, he is an easy-going and witty man who likes to joke around. At the end of the series, he was promoted to Major.
Captain Yoo Shi-jin and Doctor Kang made us realize that a relationship will be wonderful as long as you are true, loyal and that you trust your partner. Time and distance are just numbers.
6. Cheese in the Trap
Based on the original webtoon with the same title by “Soon Ggi” which was published via “Naver Online” from 2010-July-07. This drama depicts the relationship between female university student Hong Seol (Kim Go Eun) and her senior Yoo Jung (Park Hae Jin).

Genre: Comedy, Romance
Yoo Jung (Park Hae-jin), Seol's senior. He is intelligent and successful, but secretly harbors a dark side to his personality.
Baek In-ho (Seo Kang-joon), is a talented pianist who is adopted into Jung's wealthy family by his father. He and his sister come from a difficult background, but he is good-natured and finds it easy to get along with Seol, later developing feelings for her.
I liked this drama a lot because I felt the sincerity and the feelings of each and every characters. I love Jung's personality. He's so mysterious and so ideal.
Justice for the last episode!
My sleeping schedule was messed up because of these series. Everyday I stayed up til 3 in the morning to binge watch, no judging.
